Fresh breeze and fresh 96-year-old - my oldest readers?

Yesterday was the first day off in a long time. Brilliant sunshine and a fresh breeze that blew while we started south through Albrektsunds channel. Great to sit with his hand on the tiller and enjoy the surroundings. It took at least ten minutes from there we came ashore at our destination until the youngest son had to change his clothes because he managed to fall in.

I go and småklurar. Spent a morning last week with Stig, former chairman of the Historical Society. He knows everything about the old Marstrand. Now he had picked up maps from 1600 - and 1700's to me. After that we went through them I went out in search of a bygone era. You get second thoughts when you trudge the old streets with the knowledge that the foundation of the house next door is from the 1700s. When I worked with soul coffin, I could always go to the Town Hall basement, but now I find new places. It's exciting!

Otherwise it's signings who is on the schedule. Last Saturday I was in Partille bookstore. There I met my oldest (I think) reader - Walfrid who soon turns 96 years. I thought he was joking when he revealed his age. An alert and awake gentleman who gave me a surprisingly strong hug before he left with a signed copy of Soul coffin in his hand.

Bokidéer and signings

The bag is packed and I will just go to Stenungsund. Every year Boki bookseller at Stenungsbaden while JB and owl resides in Särö. In a few but intense days they are told publishers and writers' presentations of upcoming books. Last year was my first. Presenter tried in vain to get me to answer the questions, while I instead blossomed into the Pater Noster lighthouse and how important it was for the sailing would get to the single channel up to the right Stenungsund and Uddevalla. As all were from the neighborhood I thought it might be interesting to know ...

Nowadays, I try to answer the questions without flourish or floating away. Though this year I'm just the dinner. Hmmm.

Cina, my publisher will to Marstrand tomorrow and stay for two days. It will be luxurious to talk to her, pulling my new ideas. I have a title that I like but an idea that seems to be about something else entirely. Maybe she opens her purse and takes out the manual "How to work it as a writer." Would have to be such, I think.

After that it is Friday and signings again. Maybe we'll see you somewhere?

Meeting with the musician Stefan Andersson

A as in words and tones in a unique way describes Carl's Fortress and some of the prisoners' fates are Stefan Andersson. Yesterday I had the privilege to enjoy a coffee on the dock with Stefan. Inspiring and fun to talk to someone who appreciates and swallowed up by history as much as I do. And how can you just come up with so many great songs? Impressive! I have quite a few pages at me when I will describe something, but with so few words to convey the human destiny in a way that it travels through space and time involved - talent is the least I can say.

No idea. 90 Kleist held up at Carl's Fortress for the third consecutive year. If you have not been there yet have something to look forward to! The music flows from the Knights' Hall, penetrates through the gray stone walls and gives comfort to the souls who still wander around the top of Carlsten. Sure, things happen up there, ask Eiwe & Siri who live in the house commandant!

The boards' No. 90 Kleist "and" Ship Rat, "both by and with Stefan Andersson is warm while I sit and ponder on book three.

Last week was the radio interview. P4 Göteborg Lena Rångeby. For those of you who want to hear how it sounded:

Psychic coffin out now!

Yesterday I received the first copy of Soul coffin in my hand and just now got delivery of my författarex.

It's a nice feeling to keep the book. The result of all the thoughts and wanderings on the winding roads that led to the story. Sometimes I begin to really wonder about all the strange coincidences that I have encountered. If there really are coincidences?

Welcome to go with Kate, Robert and Folke to Marstrand, where a school class just made a macabre discovery. A woman's body in medieval clothes leaning against the stone of sacrifice in sacrificial grove, two hundred meters from Carlsten Fortress.

Hope you will like Soul coffin!
